Brian Coutts was born in London 1946 and started painting at the age of 12. He studied at Wimbldon Art School in 1960. He migrated to Australia in 1969 and worked as a carpenter while still painting in my spare time.
He has been exhibited in The Royal Easter Show, Camden Art Prize and a number of other competitions and has been doing life drawing at the Julian Ashton Art School for the past 10 years. In 1999, he started painting full time and is currently exhibiting at Woollahra Times Art Gallery.
