Margot attended Julian Ashton Art School in the early/mid ’70′s and was taught by Philip and Dick Ashton, Ian Chapman and Peter Dorahy.
She continued to paint both in watercolour as and oil. Oil is now her main medium as it gives more strength to her work.
Margot likes to specialise in paintings of figures in landscape which mainly include water in their theme. Her work is influenced by the impressionists and is slightly romanticised.
She has won many awards over the years and has paintings in overseas collections. Her painting time has been limited due to family obligations but she has plans to increase her workload as she moves into a new era.
Margot has her sights set on painting more portraits and plans to experiment a lot more in all aspects of painting and design.
Apart from belonging to the PAA she is also a member of the Kuringai Art Society.
