Dr Alex Sandor Kolozsy, CDVA, has been a professional artist and sculptor for over 50 years.
Kolozsy is Hungarian, born in 1938 in Transylvania (Rumania since 1920). Refugee to Hungary-Second World War. Freedom Fighter in 1956 Hungarian Uprising, became a refugee to Holland. Demonstrating unique talent in drawing from an early age, he was recommended to Academy of Art at Gyor, studying church painting, graphic art and sculpture. In Holland, he received a Scholarship to Rembrandt Academy of Art until 1958, when he departed for Australia.
In Sydney, he worked in display for Elizabethan Trust, Eric Porter Film Productions (animation, sets and props). Forming Kolozsy Design Co. in 1970, he worked with Architects in design and production of custom built architectural art, such as Cahills Restaurants and Centrepoint Tavern.

Invited to Royal Easter Show 1997 by Royal Agricultural Society to exhibit and demonstrate sculpture.
Kolozsy sculptures were the only ones displayed in the Cultural Show for Paralympics 2000.

Kolozsy has taught sculpture at various studios, The Rocks, University of Western Sydney Hawkesbury as Artisan in Residence. Blacktown Showground. Course includes design, armature, sculpturing, mould making, casting, chasing metal and patina.
