PROFILE
Doffy White is a sculptor and a painter and was born at Hay, NSW. She brought up on a remote sheep station and home-schooled until her high school years. She qualified in nursing which enabled her to travel extensively.
Art has always been an important part of her life and she later completed formal studies over a wide range of art fields. She prefers to create small sculptures to instil a feeling of intimacy and connection which can be lost in larger works. Bronze and natural rock are her favoured materials because of their solidity, tactility and durability. Doffy wants people to connect with her works by touch, as well as visually and emotionally.
Her work may be found in private collections in France, USA, Singapore, Sydney
