During March 2005 PAA held a Preview Exhibition of the Washington DC exhibition at the Arthouse Hotel in Pitt Street Sydney.The Opening Speaker was Stephen Smith, the US Consul General.
From Sydney, the show moved to Gallery 1601, at the Embassy of Australia in Washington DC, for the Anzac Celebrations. The exhibition was in Washington DC from April to June 2005.
The Director of Cultural Relations in Washington, Ron Ramsey, hosted a Reception on May 15th 2005 for the 12 artists who travelled to the USA, and a special delegation of American portrait artists, members of the Portrait Society of America (PSA). They attended the opening as part of the Annual Conference of the Portrait Society of America, in Reston Virginia.
