The PAA Black Tie dinner for Legacy raised $50,000 on the night, the principal Beneficiary being Sydney Legacy. The two Legacy portraits, Petty Officer Gavin Stevens by Jan Williamson, and Doctor the Honourable Brian Pezzutti, Brigadier Assistant Surgeon General in the Australian Defence Forces, by Paul Newton, were auctioned for a total sum of $30,000. As well, 2 portrait sittings with PAA artists were auctioned and Nafisa Naomi was slected by the 2 winners to paint them. Janis Lander gave speeches about the careers and achievements of both the subjects – Petty Officer Gavin Stevens and Doctor Brian Pezzutti.
