MEDIUM and METHOD of WORKING
Working mostly in oil, in a traditional style with a contemporary painterly slant Pamela demonstrates her love of both people and colour. She produces heirloom portraits to reveal not only a good likeness but also the best in the personality of her subject, whatever the age. She will work from photos including information about the personality, in order to best portray the subject, preferring if possible, to include one or two short sittings of about an hour each. Especially she prefers to work from life with sittings of two to three hours each over four or five sittings for head and shoulders, where she feels the interaction with the sitter produces a lively personality in the finished work.
PRICING
Pamela produces life size head and shoulder pastel sketches in one sitting to full length life size oils ranging in price from $200 to around $4000 based on one person with a simple background. Multiple subjects and detailed backgrounds increase the price.
